My suspicions and distrust regarding roofing contractors were confirmed when my roof was stripped prior to applying a new one. The previous contractor failed to apply underpayment as well as ice and water shield protection in critical areas where leakage could occur. Also no ice and water shield was omitting around my skylights causing large portions of the decking rotting as a result of water damage. The shingles were applied directly to the decking on the entire roof. My lack of trust and respect for some; again I use the word some was reinforced upon making this discovery. How could these so called roofers look themselves in the mirror when they have to cheat and do poor quality work. I learned a very important lesson and that is I now have to babysit contractors like little children to make sure the job is done right. Then a miracle happened, I hired Mighty Dog Roofing. This was the best decision I have ever made. The quality and professionalism work done cannot be measured. They set the standard when it comes to roofing. Andy and Max from the company explained every step of the job as well as constantly sending photos of each phase to confirm the roof was being done to perfection. The workers applied each shingle as if performing surgery. I saw a worker actually climb back up a roof because he wanted to adjust a ridge vent to perfection. Max also discovered that the prior roofer actually covered my ridge caps. My house was not breathing. Max I can’t thank you enough my house is much cooler now. This company sets the standard by far. When they cleaned up I couldn’t even find a nail. It was as if they were never there. Andy made certain everything was to my satisfaction and did not leave until the job was completed. They deserve a twenty star review if I could give it to them. They restored my faith in honesty and integrity. You cannot lose by hiring Mighty Dog. The work and attention to detail really sets this company apart from other roofing/repair companies. A detailed scope of work and a preliminary use of a drone to examine the worksite for this job was great. The work team arrived early in the day and continued to work the full time till dusk. Adding an additional work replacement of wooden fascia with PVC fascia was easily done later in the day. Cleanup , removal of all debris and a magnetic sweep of property was done. Highly recommend this company---they provided pictures of work done during the day. Well worth investing a bit more money to have a quality job done .
